Underdogs of Philly is powered entirely by the heart and hustle of our volunteers. Whether you have an hour or a whole Saturday, there's a place for you here. Our work happens on the ground, in neighborhoods across the city, and it wouldn't be possible without a dedicated community of volunteers who show up and make things happen. Every visit, every supply drop, every ride to daycare — it all adds up to a better life for a dog who needs it. We think you'll find it's some of the most meaningful (and most fun) work you've ever done, and we'd love for you to be part of it.
Ways to get involved:
Community Outreach Field Days
Connect directly with dog owners in need across Philadelphia, delivering food, supplies, and resources to families who need a little extra support.
Vaccine Clinics
Assist with transport and animal handling at our clinic days, helping keep Philly's pups healthy and protected.
Dog House & Kennel Installations
Help install insulated dog houses, kennels, and weatherproofing setups for outdoor dogs, giving them a safe, warm place to call their own.
Transport
Be the ride that changes everything. Whether it's a weekly daycare run or a trip to the vet, our transport volunteers provide the social enrichment and medical care that owned dogs so often go without.

When I discovered how many outdoor dogs in Philadelphia were falling through the cracks of animal welfare, I knew I had to do something. Underdogs works alongside owners in underserved communities to provide the support they need to keep their dogs healthy, happy, and at home.
